Hello 2016-2017 SRB Team,
Overlake is excited to welcome you back in a few short days. As you start planning for the new school year, I wanted to put two items on your radar.
1) Our team of representatives is below. We have a few familiar faces and a few students/adults on SRB for the very first time. The adult SRB reps for the year are Nate Edmunds (who served last year) and Kathy Finkenstadt. I am very excited to welcome both of them to SRB and have them work with us/guide us in the year to come.
2) This year we would like to start off the year with an off-campus SRB Retreat. There, we will eat lunch, bond as a team, discuss the philosophy of restorative justice, and prepare for our work through an number of other exercises.
We would like to hold this retreat during the afternoon of Tuesday, September 13th, location TBD. We will leave after G block. We will miss A, lunch (we will have it out in Redmond), B and C block. We will be back by 3:00 pm for afterschool activities. We will share this information with your teachers in the days ahead but it will be good for you to start plannning appropriately for that afternoon away from school.
